Ultrasound

Dilated at 35 Weeks, this is not a drill 🚨

I had a routine checkup today with my doctor and while I was there also had my Group B Strep Test, my doctor asked if I’d like to go ahead and have my cervix examined. Sure, why not? Come to find out I’m dilated at 3 cm 😲 wait, what? What does that mean? My doctor said it basically meant that I was off to a good start and if I have signs of labor “just head on over to labor and delivery”. Oh my gosh. This is not a drill. I’m not ready! I’ll admit I panicked quite a bit right away, I mean we are still 5 weeks away, I’m supposed to have more time! After the hubby and I went to lunch and Read More

Time Blocking – Making your time WORK for YOU!

I’ve been talking about Time Blocking and how it can work for a Stay At Home Mom  recently, but what exactly is Time Blocking? Put simply, its the process of blocking out specific times of the day for specific tasks. Or put in Stay At Home Mom speak, its a way to LOL at yourself for believing you can actually schedule your day 😂! But… what if I told you….it kinda works? I’ve been on this “get organized, be productive” kick recently (and if you want to find out why you can head ➡️ here) but realized that at the end of the day I’m left feeling like nothing was accomplished and kinda wondering where my day went. I just started Time Blocking and can already see Read More

Monkey See 👀, Monkey Do 🐒. Why organization is so important to me now, more than ever!

Finding out that I’m having a daughter has really had a strange effect on me. I was NOT expecting to have daughter, for some reason I had it in my head that I was going to have a little army of boys – my very own personal bodyguards! I was already planning all the things my boys would do together, what their rooms would look like, the sports they’d play together…it was just obvious to me, I’d have boys only. But then I heard the ultrasound tech say “It’s a girl” and I was completely floored. It took me a few days to process and probably an entire week to even let myself get excited. But in that week I started thinking “what can I Read More

I’m fairly busy but not the kind of busy that requires me to track my To Do’s daily. I’m more of “at Read More

DIY PALLET BOOKSHELF. DIY. Perfect for a baby nursery or home project

DIY Pallet Bookshelf

When I was pregnant and thinking about the nursery I just knew I needed a bookcase or bookshelf! I love reading and I definitely wanted to share that with Joaquin. So I searched Pinterest and came across a bookshelf made from a pallet. I instantly loved it. It was perfect for the look I was going for and wouldn’t take up floor space. So I tasked my hubby with finding a pallet, as always when I told him what it was for he just kinda looked at me and said “ooohkay” ツ.  This project was super easy and I absolutely loved the final product!   What you need: A pallet A saw for cutting Screws & Drill Sanding paper Stain Rags or brush for staining Studfinder Alex cut the Read More

Who doesn’t love To-Do lists? Who doesn’t love using your phone for To-Do Lists? ….ME! Who doesn’t love brainstorming on their phone or tablet? ….ME!   I think you’re getting the point here. I love being organized, I love To-Do lists, I love when the light bulb goes off and I have an amazing idea; but I’m really sick of using my phone to record all of that. I tried, I really did, I’ve downloaded countless apps: Evernote, Wunderlust, Life Balance…I even bought a moleskin notebook that can be used with Evernote, and although I love that notebook and use it constantly I never scan the pages into Evernote. It’s just too much. I went back to using a regular notebook but I’d forget where Read More

Mom’s…How Do You Do It?

I’ve recently come to the conclusion that I absolutely need to be more organized with my time and space. How do you carve out time to work from home? How do you create work space that won’t get taken over by baby toys and junk mail? Have you created some pretty awesome desk space in a corner of your house or do you leave the house in order to get some work done? I want to know and I want proof! I’m going to Read More
